Sweet Potato Pie Reflection
This was our first major essay assignment, taking place in the middle of the first semester. I remember it especially well because of the method in which I went about writing it. Allow me to explain (ahem). Mr. E gave us two options in approaching the report:
1. Analyze the mindset of either Buddy or Charley
2. Compare Charley with Salvador from "Salvador Late Or Early"
Obviously, I (with my stupidly high ambition) was the only one in my class to choose the latter option. Interesting if you think about it, actually. I honestly believe it was easier to find a connection using the second option, but again, that's just me. The hard part was finding quotes to support my evidence. You can tell that I dug really really REALLY deep when I used the quote, "You somebody." However, this project was quite useful in that I obtained a plethora of skills pertaining to compare and contrast. Again, remember the home page. Early in the year = good for me.
