War of the Worlds Reflection
As much as I expected this story to be a major literary work, it turned out mainly to be a pleasure read. "War of the Worlds" by H.G. Wells was an SSR project assigned to us during the second semester. It took me about five days to finish the poem. Inserting offhand humor into the piece was quite fun, definitely my favorite part. However, finding rhymes, rhythm, and beats in which to insert such humor was another matter entirely. Now you have to understand that when I need writing inspiration, I'll get distracted, a lot. But not because of a short attention span or the like. I simply give priority to the distractions, namely videogames, comics, tv. I know, great logic, huh Trevor? However, aside from this one problem, I didn't run into too many roadblocks. However, I do wish that the theme of England could have been emphasized more. Too late is too late, I guess.
